Communication

Spread the word throughout the community and beyond about the ongoing needs for support through contributions of goods, services, and funding.

Case Management

Assess, document and arrange for needs to be addressed.  We keep cases open from the time they are assigned to us by the Marshall County Office of Emergency Services until the needs have been fully met.

Tree & Debris Removal

Tree cutting, sand bag removal, building and materials, furnishings, etc.

  • Weaver Contracting, LLC, of Briensburg United Methodist Church is donating tree removal equipment and services
  • Brad Colson of Benton First United Methodist Church is providing volunteers as needed.
  • Coy Webb of Kentucky Baptist Disaster Relief is providing volunteers as needed.

Construction and Repairs

Carpentry, driveways, roofing, drywall, interior flooding, etc.

  • Weaver Contracting, LLC, of Briensburg United Methodist Church is donating road repair equipment and services
  • Memphis Conference UMC Volunteers in Mission and UMCOR are standing by to assist.

Clothing, Furniture & Household Items

  • New to You (3rd Place Ministries of the Marshall County United Methodist Cooperative Parish, Inc.), Director David Garrett, 527-5147, 17 Cope Rd in Benton, will provide assistance with clothing and household needs.

Counseling

Provide counseling services for children, volunteers, adults and others to help cope with disaster recovery issues

Photography Documentation of Damages

Digital photos taken before work is done, to document for FEMA, insurance, etc.
  • Case workers will photograph damages during assessment.  
  • Volunteer needed to crop, sort, furnish CDs to clients, etc.

Meals

Cooked meals served at no cost to flood victims and volunteers to save money for use on other resources.
  • Marcella’s Kitchen, Free Lunches, Monday – Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm

Food Banks

Staple food items to help replenish family pantries.
